In the midst of BACK TO SCHOOL meltdowns, book lists and uniforms, don’t forget the importance of a healthy lunchbox to make sure your child is getting the right nutrition.

🔹Keep lunches varied and appealing because plain cheese sandwiches for 5 days in a row will not be well-received!
🔹Remember to include water at break and lunch time – hydration is essential for health and also helps concentration.
🔹Consider ‘rainbow boxes’ for snack time – carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes,apple slices, celery sticks etc.
🔹Try to use wholegrains such as homemade brown bread, coupled with hard-boiled or mashed eggs as protein source.
🔹Involve your child in lunch preparation – help pick out a fun lunchbox, choose the vegetables, arrange the snack pots…
