Cacao Pops
Looking for a weekend treat?
How about a healthy, ‘grown up’ version of Coco Pops….
The best part? The milk turns chocolatey!!
Ingredients:
65g Puffed rice/quinoa
2 tbs cacao powder
2 tbs coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbs maple syrup/honey
Method:
🔹 Mix the cacao powder and vanilla in a small bowl
🔹 Heat the coconut oil and honey slowly in a saucepan
🔹 Whisk the powder mixture into the saucepan mix
🔹 Stir the chocolate mixture into the bowl of rice pops
🔹 Use a wooden spoon to thoroughly cover the pops
🔹 Spread evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper
🔹 Leave to cook in the oven (160 degrees) for 8-10mins, keeping an eye to prevent burning (burnt cacao powder is not pleasant!) and shake up once during this time
🔹 Remove, allow to cool and store in an airtight container
