Calorie counting

Cake? No thanks, I’m being good today’ Tina Boland - Salus Nutrition and Health
We often put labels on food, depending on our perception of whether it is good or bad.
When we are ‘being good’ we eat food associated with being disciplined or strict with ourselves, like eating salad … while greasy chips are bad, but delicious, and are seen as a treat, we know we will feel bloated and stodgy afterwards.

Eating should not be about calorie-counting, restrictions or fixing our emotions. Make food work for you in a way that is enjoyable yet nutritious … food should be about making us healthier, stronger and more energised!
