You don’t have to be miserable and restrictive to be healthy. Think about the quality of food you are eating, rather than the quantity.

The current focus seems to be the demonstration of carbohydrates, yet, many people do not realise that not all carbs are bad if you pick the better quality options. Think about switching from white rice to brown rice … sure, the labels might seem very similar but the white rice has been intensely refined before it reaches your table and as a result has lost key nutrients and fibre content when compared to its brown counterpart which retains its goodness. The white version is also absorbed very quickly into your bloodstream which causes a sudden spike in sugar levels and then a subsequent slump.
